Connect to your radio
Wizzo reads CRSF telemetry from an EdgeTX radio. Pick the link in Setup › Link.
Two modes
Section titled “Two modes”The radio can send telemetry in two ways. The Connection panel on the LINK tab shows which one you’re in.
| Mode | Radio port setting | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Telemetry Mirror | Telemetry Mirror | HUD, map, link stats, terrain warnings |
| LUA Bridge | LUA, with the Wizzo Lua script running | All of the above, plus follow-me |
Start with Telemetry Mirror. When you want follow-me, set up the Lua bridge.
The simplest and most reliable link.
- On the radio: SYS › Hardware › USB VCP → Telemetry Mirror (or LUA for the bridge).
- Plug the radio into the phone with a USB-C cable, and pick USB Serial (VCP) on the radio.
- Wizzo connects on its own. If it doesn’t, connect from Setup › Link.
With Auto-connect USB on (Setup › Link), plugging in is all it takes from then on.
Bluetooth
Section titled “Bluetooth”Wizzo connects to a BLE serial module wired to one of the radio’s AUX ports (HM-10 style modules, Nordic UART, and similar).
- On the radio: set the AUX port the module is on to Telemetry Mirror (or LUA for the bridge).
- In Wizzo: Setup › Link › Bluetooth, wait for the module to show up, and tap it.
A radio’s built-in Bluetooth may not offer a LUA mode. If so, use USB for follow-me.
For Wi-Fi bridges that send CRSF as UDP datagrams. Wizzo listens on port 5761 by default; change it under Setup › Link › Options. Choose Wi-Fi and tap the UDP listener.
Check it’s working
Section titled “Check it’s working”The LINK tab shows the connection status, source and mode. Link quality and the CRSF frame rates should start moving within a second or two. If the status says Connected · no data, see Troubleshooting.
