Follow-me
Follow-me sends your phone’s position to iNav as a GCS NAV waypoint (#255). The drone flies to a point a set distance behind you and keeps updating as you move.
Before you fly
Section titled “Before you fly”- Install the Lua bridge. The FOLLOW tab only appears when it’s detected.
- In iNav Configurator, put NAV POSHOLD and GCS NAV on a switch on the radio.
iNav only accepts the waypoint while both modes are active. You engage follow-me by flipping that switch, and flipping it back always gives you control. Wizzo can’t take control on its own.
Flying it
Section titled “Flying it”- Open the FOLLOW tab.
- Arm, and flip the POSHOLD + GCS NAV switch.
- Wait for every checklist item to go green: bridge present, multirotor, armed, both modes active, and your phone’s GPS within the limit.
- Tap START FOLLOW.
The drone faces you, or keeps its heading if you choose that. Tap STOP FOLLOW ME, or flip the switch back, to stop.
It stops by itself when
Section titled “It stops by itself when”- your phone’s GPS error goes over the limit, or its fix is more than 3 seconds old;
- the radio link is lost for 2 seconds;
- POSHOLD or GCS NAV turns off;
- the target would be further from home than the limit;
- the bridge stops responding.
iNav then holds its last position.
